Short Story Saturday: The Goddess Hunt by Aimee Carter

I don't read a lot of anthologies, but I've recently acquired quite a few, and a few magazines for review, and decided to take a page from Lauren and 365 Days of Reading and do Short Story Saturday, where I talk about a story from an anthology, or even a novella/novellete, every Saturday (or try to)! You can view what anthologies and novellas I'll reviewing here.

The Goddess Hunt by Aimee Carter, a novella set in between The Goddess Test and Goddess Interrupted. It was released March 1, 2012 by Harlequin TEEN. It's available on Amazon | Barnes & Noble | Google eBooks for $1.99. It's approximately 71 pages. 


A vacation in Greece sounds like the perfect way for Kate Winters to spend her first sabbatical away from the Underworld...until she gets caught up in an immortal feud going back millennia. Castor and Pollux have been on the run from Zeus and Hades' wrath for centuries, hiding from the gods who hunt them. The last person they trust is Kate, the new Queen of the Underworld. Nevertheless, she is determined to help their cause. But when it comes to dealing with immortals, Kate still has a lot to learn....

The Goddess Hunt was such a fast read! I loved getting back into the Goddess world; I love that series and really loved this one. I read this one after Goddess Interrupted, so I'm really curious to see how it plays into GI and am going to reread GI to see! 


However, my problem is just that: I for the life of me cannot remember if they even mention the twins, Pollux and Castor in GI. A memory (and reading too many books!) problem. It was almost like another parallel world where one Kate does this in Greece and the other Kate spends her time on the beach and such. 


But I highly recommend The Goddess Hunt to all readers of this series. You'll love it, and for barely $2, it's a great way to spend an hour (or however long it takes you to read!) I loved that it was a dual POV--Henry has his own chapters! LOVE THOSE CHAPTERS! :) I'm a Henry girl, so it's not hard to entertain me. Ha ha. Can't wait to read The Goddess Legacy!
