Waiting on Wednesday (29): Storm

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.
The following book is on my "ARC wishlist" shelf. You know. In case anybody wants to do a trade or something. :)

This one sounds so good that I'm definitely going to have to email my Kensington contact and beg for a copy (hee.) but I'm not really digging that cover. Don't have a lot of strong opinions about it; do you? Also, every time I read about this book or see the cover, I think of this song and start singing it. My life, yo.

  1. Great pick! I haven't heard of this one yet but it sounds really good. Definitely must add this to my list now. I am not all that crazy for the cover either but it doesn't really bother me all that much.

  5. I don't really like this cover either, but I absolutely love the sound of STORM. Cannot wait to read this one either. And luckily it's not too long until its release. ;)

  10. This books sounds so awesome! Kind of like Playing with Fire by Gena Showalter, but with a new and exciting twist on it! xD
    I'm not really liking the cover much either, but it's not the horrible one that I've ever seen.

  11. The cover doesn't do it for me at all- too brooding! They lok like such posers! But it does sound like a good book so maybe some selective cover blindness is needed here!

  18. This story does sound really good and I love the concept of controlling the elements but... that COVER?!? Haha it reminds me of like a cheesy 80's band poster or something ^_^ Still if that story is good it doesn't matter! Thanks for letting me know about this one!

  22. The only thing I do like about this cover is that the front guy kinda looks a bit like the actor who plays Jason Dilaurentis on Pretty Little Liars who I geek out for, I think his name is Drew Van Acker? but that's about it.

  27. Cool choice! Am I the only one who thinks of Avatar: the Last Airbender when I read this blurb? I love that show. I wonder if the characters are "bending" the elements.

  28. Cathy, nope! I thought of Avatar: The Last Airbender the first time I heard about this book. I love that show, too, and now I'm wondering if they are bending the elements!
